R. John Fox, Jr., M. D., P.A

Dr. R. John Fox, Jr., has been a Dermatologist in the Austin area since 1976. He received his training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended medical school there followed by his internship at Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital. He completed his residency at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Fox is board certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He is also board certified in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatopathology.

Dr. Fox is a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. He is also a member of the Austin Dermatology Society, the Texas Dermatology Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Rotary Club of Austin.

Dr. Fox is married, and has 3 children. His hobbies include travel, bicycling and gardening.

Margaret K. Hart, M. D., P.A.

Dr. Margaret Hart joined Austin Dermcare in July 2003.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin.  She completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Services center at San Antonio where she was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  She spent one year at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin completing a transitional internship followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Hart is board certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of several organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, Austin Dermatology Society, Travis County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.




Tom R Roark, M. D., P.A.

Dr. Tom Roark graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1981 and practiced engineering for a time before attending medical school at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.  He interned in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, then completed his Dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas.  Dr. Roark is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Roark is a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. He is also a member of the Austin Dermatology Society and the American Academy of Dermatology.




Emily Prosise, M. D., P.A.

Dr. Emily Prosise has returned to Texas after practicing dermatology in Manhattan, NY and Orange County, CA. She practices general dermatology including surgery, Mohs surgery, and pediatric dermatology. Rachel L. Miller, PA-C

Rachel Miller joined Austin Dermcare in June 2002.  Prior to this she worked as a PA in dermatology in Austin under Dr. William Green until his retirement in March of 2002.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southwest Texas State University in 1999 and then completed her medical training as a Physician Assistant at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 2001.

Rachel is licensed to practice medicine by the Texas State Medical Licensing Board and certified by the National Certification Agency of Physician Assistants.  She is qualified to prescribe medicine and perform examinations and minor surgery under the supervision of  R. John Fox, Jr., M.D. and Dale G. Schaefer, M.D.

Rachel resides in Austin with her husband.  She enjoys running, triathlons, video production and playing with her yorkie, Sydney.
